Media Room Makeover – Week 4

Media Room Makeover – Week 4

Yikes!!!  It’s Week 4!!!

It’s Week 4 of the One Room Challenge.   This is the week where everyone starts to panic because we’re all behind where we thought we would be and there’s only two YES two weeks to the big reveal.  Well, I’m in the same boat as everyone else and I’m starting to panic.

This week I got ALL the prepping done for the room and ready to paint.   It doesn’t seem like very much but prepping is a BIG job if done right, AND you’re correcting mistakes from a previous owner….hmmm.   I forgot how much I hate prepping.

Let’s just say I’m really glad that the prepping is done and here’s where I’m at:

It’s hard to tell when the prepping is done but all the walls needed to be filled in spackle, sanded, and washed with TSP.

And the color is….

I decided to go with the color on the right, Benjamin Moore Seaside Sand…. a little bit of brown and a little bit of pink for warmth.

Here’s the before:

Left on the to do list:

  1. Paint
  2. Make pillows
  3. Sofa table “surprise”
  4. Hang artwork

The remaining to do’s is doable but I MUST finish ALL the painting this week!!!
