Family Room Makeover Reveal

Family Room Makeover Reveal

It’s hard to believe that it was only 6 weeks ago when 200+ Designer/Bloggers took up the challenge from Linda of Calling It Home to makeover a room in our house in just 6 weeks.  We had just moved into our house only 6 months prior and the house was just screaming at us.  We didn’t like the color of the walls, the fireplace was a negative focal point and there was no light ceiling light fixture.

There was no ceiling light:

The fireplace was a negative focal point in the room.

Our house backs onto a conversation area and this is our view out the back.  You can barely see the houses in the distance.  You really feel like you’re in the country looking out of our family room.

I wanted to bring that country feel to our family room but still reflect that we do live in an urban setting so I created an Urban Country family room.

The Big Reveal – After Pictures:

We love our room now. We spend so much time there as a family and it finally feels like our own space.

I’m Debi Collinson. Since 2006, as a Stager, I have been helping clients make their homes look like they came out of a magazine. I have helped clients earn money for their home beyond their expectations. Due to demand, my services have expanded to include Downsizing Seniors, I help seniors age in their home safely by recommending accommodations they need, and I help families make changes & accommodations in their home to create a Multigenerational Home where everyone can live in harmony under one roof.

I have bought several “fixer uppers” and either flipped them for a healthy profit or turned them into profitable rental properties. I know what renovations will earn you top dollar and which one won’t, whether it’s in a hot market or a slow one.

Come follow as I share my tips & secrets along the way.
